Medlar tree planted at Miserden by The Worshipful Company of Fruiterers

In celebration of Miserden winning Historic Houses Garden of the Year 2018, a Medlar Mespilus Germanica ‘Nottingham’ was planted by Mr John Warner, Master of The Worshipful Company of Fruiterers. Champagne was enjoyed at the ceremony and a delicious lunch at the Garden Cafe by Polly Parsons of Hassle Free Weekends

The Worshipful Company of Fruiterers is a progressive City Livery Company that has been actively supporting the City of London and the fruit industry since the thirteenth century.
